Dragon*Con is a month and a half away. How did the year go by so fast? I don’t know my schedule yet, but chances are you’ll find me on the Dark Fantasy, and Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature Tracks, if not a couple more. This year, the world’s greatest summer camp for wayward adults will run from September 2-5 in Atlanta. Hope to see you there.

Another six weeks after that, October 14-16, I’ll be at DC’s own science fiction and fantasy convention, Capclave. Capclave is a literary con with the motto “Where reading is not extinct” (hence the dodo mascot). It focuses on science fiction, fantasy and horror short stories. This year’s writing and editing guests of honor are Carrie Vaughn and Catherynne Valente, and if that’s not enough, there’s sure to be an “Eye of Argon” reading in there somewhere. Nobody’s yet made it through without laughing. Ditto on the hope. A good time will be had by all.
